SnowFest 2025

Two Rivers SnowFest is a unique summer festival held annually in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, celebrating snow in July. The event traces its origins back to 1936, when construction workers discovered a buried pile of snow during a record-breaking heat wave, earning Two Rivers the nickname “Coolest Spot in Wisconsin.” The first SnowFest took place in 1937, and after a couple breaks from 1942 to 1957 and the 1990s to 2021, it was revived by the Friends of Two Rivers SnowFest. The 2025 edition, marking its 50th celebration, is scheduled for July 25-27 at Neshotah Park, right across from one of Lake Michigan’s best sandy beaches.

SnowFest 2025, themed “Cheers to 50 Years!” promises a packed weekend of free-admission fun. Highlights include live music from local and regional acts like the Jim Gaff Band, Mae Simpson, Gone 2 Paradise Band-The Ultimate Jimmy Buffett Experience, and Sam Llanas (formerly of the BoDeans), with performances spanning Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. A grand parade kicks off Saturday at 11:00 a.m., on Columbus St in Two Rivers featuring floats, marching bands, and, of course, snow. The festival also offers family-friendly activities like inflatables, games, free bingo, and Rondini’s Bombastic Bubble Show with Angel.

Make sure to shop the vendor and craft fair running Saturday and Sunday, snap some pictures in the photo booth, and bid in the Polar Bear Artwork auction. Food trucks, food and beverage tents, beer and wine, and other refreshments will be available, with purchases made via tickets from the main check-in area (though food trucks and vendors also accept cash and card).

The event runs Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Neshotah Park’s location at 2111 Pierce Street makes it easily accessible—follow 22nd Street (Hwy 42) to Pierce Street and look for signs. While there’s no camping at the festival, nearby options like Point Beach State Forest and Scheffel’s Hideaway Campground cater to visitors.
