Snowfest made its return to Two Rivers July 23-25, 2021. As the Herald Time Reporter noted in its story, many felt it was, “Well Worth the Wait”.
Sixteen different musical acts returned to the stage as part of the musical program. For some of these bands this was the first time back on stage in nearly 2 years! Friday saw nationally known folk and Americana acts Dead Horses, Ryan Necci and the Buffalo Gospel and Adam Greuel and the all star cast of the Two Rivers Ramblers take the stage. They were joined by David Quinn and local favorites Dig Deep and The Honeygoats in what was a music filled evening with a lot of fun, reminiscing and making new memories as well. The sounds of the carnival filled the air and the smells of a large number of food vendors made the mouth water and filled the stomachs of many of our guests.
Saturday the city woke to rain and a drizzle with the possibility of rain throughout the day. However, while the line up of the parade did happen in a little bit of rain, the sun started to come out and left us with a beautiful day. A large parade that even included snow went through downtown and as one person noted, “was one of the largest parades in recent memory” to be in Two Rivers. Seen below are just a few shots from the parade:
Following the parade last numbers of people made their way to Walsh Field and Neshotah Park and were treated to the musical talents of Charlie Bucket, Beer Club, Running Blind, Joseph Huber, The Listening Party, Liquid Crush, and the highlight of the night Kiss Tribute band Strutter featuring Two Rivers own Matt Schroeder as Ace Frehley. A large crowd helped us to close out the night.
Sunday wrapped up a great weekend of family fun, music and memories.
We want to thank all of the vendors, volunteers, first responders, musicians, and parade entries that helped us to make this a great weekend. Also we want to thank everyone that came out to support the event. We did this all for you and we are so glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you to all of our sponsors that helped to support this event as well. It is due to your support that we were able to put this event together and also help to support it continuing for the years to come. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Two Rivers for Snowfest 2022, July 22-24, 2022!
